Two Hart Road Runners proudly represented England at today’s England Masters Half Marathon, held as part of the Swansea University Half Marathon in Wales.
On a warm June day, the race brought together some of the best age-group runners from England, Wales and the UK Armed Forces. Among them, Hart Road Runners’ Ged Ruffle and Heather Allen delivered outstanding performances on the coastal course.
Ged produced an excellent run, completing the half marathon in 1:32:47. His strong performance placed him 3rd in his age category overall, but crucially he was the 1st England Master in his category — an impressive result given the standard of competition!
Meanwhile, Heather Allen marked her birthday in style, finishing 5th in in her age category in the half marathon.
The event showcased the strength and depth of Masters running, and both Ged and Heather did Hart Road Runners proud, flying the flag for both club and country.
