Hart Road Runners’ Nick Emmett ventured west to South Wales to take on 50 miles of rugged, picturesque coastal scenery along the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Blessed with near-perfect running conditions, the day showcased the Gower Peninsula at its absolute finest. The event was well organised from start to finish, offering a great test of endurance across an ever-shifting mix of terrain and 5000ft of elevation.
Despite the underfoot challenges, Nick reported that navigation remained straightforward throughout, and the route offered plenty of accessible vantage points for friends, family, and travelling supporters to cheer along the way.
Nick crossed the finish line after 15 hours on the course alongside his good friend Tom with the two managing to stay together throughout the race.
